From Josiah (website admin & current pk):
Hey all! I've been caretaking the TS website a few years now and wanted to explain some recent online changes, for both personal privacy and dignity. Your online health (as well as offline) is always our concern here at Terrace Shores.
For starters: the Terrace Shores (online) Directory is being moved to this website (terraceshores.com/directory) rather than being third-party hosted on ServantKeeper. I have "beefed-up" security on this website, and the "contact" menu has become "connect" with drop-downs to register, login, retrieve your password, or contact us as usual. Try it out! Note you cannot access the directory until being approved; this is an intentional security measure. You will now each be managing your own login to the Directory/website (with help from us, of course :).
If you somehow access and don't have an account, please let me know!)

So to sign up, click the "Register" link in the dropdown which will open a pop-up where you can fill in your details. We may transfer over some of the Church Members pre-existing in the directory to the site (without addresses) for their ease, so if your email is "taken," try logging in instead. There's a password reset option if needed, and reach out to us if you hit blocks.
NOTE: all online users will be manually approved. Only Terrace Shores Church members can see the Directory, regular attendees can only update their profiles (changes to this may come, as certain info may be "offered" to regular attendees...). The only two options are "regular attendees" (which does require regular attendance) and "church members" (class fulfillment). Anyone else (e.g. visitors, international folks who haven't visited) unfortunately will not be able to make a profile. This is for the health of our community as the digital can be easily manipulated. For all of you, this information may be compromised. It takes just one member to slip their password to a "malicious actor" who may intervene and contact all of us. Your physical addresses likely wouldn't even be the issue, but guard your hearts. I know my dad, and he would never reach out to you, especially personally, to ask for money.
Second Note: any payment information offered is "doubly-guarded"...that is, if the TS website is ever compromised, your payment info will not be. All payment info is hashed and secured, managed elsewhere by much securer third-parties. For more information, please read the updated privacy policy.
"...so be as wise as serpents and yet as harmless as doves" ~ Matthew 10:16
Once approved and edited, your profile is live! And only viewable for approved members.
Secondly: Church Bulletins now exist here online! Note: they will also be available, printed, each Sunday at Church. During Summer months, sometimes people join our services late or are spread out across the lawn and haven't received a bulletin. We have increased visibility of the Bulletins throughout the website, and will use this QR code in the future to allow easy access to the current week's bulletin (which will be uploaded before each Sunday's service).

and lastly, If joining church remotely, please use our centralized Livestream page, which includes the latest bulletin and integrates with Youtube/Facebook chats to message other online attendees.
For more information about how your data is handled and stored, we've updated our Privacy Policy with more information about our security. With the love of Jesus Christ who strengthens, emboldens, and secures us, let us take our community into the new digital age with confidence.
-Josiah
