Hello Terrace Shores Congregation,

The Pastor Search Team, over the past 6 weeks, has been working with one particular candidate who we felt had good qualifications for our Senior Pastor position.  The Search Team conducted two Zoom interviews with this individual and then the elders also conducted a Zoom interview with the candidate.  As a group, we felt this candidate showed enough promise that we invited him and his wife into town for an in-person visit.  They spent 3 days in town with us and the search team and elders met with them several times, in a variety of settings, during their time here.  They also attended a Sunday morning service while they were here.  A few of you came up and introduced yourselves to them that Sunday morning, which is a great way to demonstrate our welcoming culture at Terrace Shores.  They were very appreciative of those greetings.

Although this couple appears to be wonderful, Christian people who have a heart to serve the Lord, after much prayer and with input from the elders, it was determined that there were a few areas in which the candidate was not as strong as we desired.  So, the decision was made to pass on this candidate for our position and continue on with our search.  We are now back to seeking new candidates from NL Moore.

We are grateful to all in the congregation who have been praying about this search.  We would ask that all of you continue in that prayer.  It is the most powerful tool we have in our possession, so let’s keep using it as we continue to seek God’s guidance in our search.
