Pastor EmeritusPastor Gary is now on to other pastures, having been senior pastor of Terrace Shores from 1991 to 2025. Previously he and his family served two other churches in lead pastoral ministry, and also as missionaries to the Dominican Republic and Venezuela (where Josiah—who wrote this—was born). He graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a double major in Bible Theology and Evangelism, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a B.S. degree in History and Master of Counseling Psychology, then attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he earned his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. Gary ministers with his wife, Carmen (who also graduated from Moody, pictured), who adds singing, medical expertise, and dancing to balance.
They have four children: Katie, Kara, David, & Josiah, and also 8+ grandchildren who all love them dearly. Now retired, they plan to park their Camper Van in front each of their kids/grandkids’ houses throughout the country, staying (as mom said) “until they get sick of us, and we’ll go to the next one.” Plus old friends, family, missionaries, and remembrances along the way.
