Hello Terrace Shores Congregation,

The Search Team has been working with a candidate who appears to be a great fit for Terrace Shores.  The Search Team and Elders have conducted multiple interviews with him, and then invited him and his wife on site so we could get to know each other better.  All of that went extremely well, so we provided a preliminary offer letter to him and he has accepted our preliminary offer, which is contingent upon approval by the congregation.  The candidate has just informed his current congregation that he is pursuing our Senior Pastor position, so we are now able to share more information about him.

The candidate is Kyle Witek.  He is currently the site pastor at Edgewood Community Church – Beaver Dam location.  He has served in that role for the past 8 years.  Prior to that, he spent 10 years as Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at Calvary Bible Church in Neenah, WI.  Kyle has a Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Communication from the University of Oshkosh and a Master of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Theological Seminary.  Kyle is 41 years old.  He has been married to Megan for 17 years.  They have three children – Henry (12), Charlie (10), and Addie (7).  The children attend Central Wisconsin Christian School in Waupun.  They currently live in Beaver Dam and intend to relocate closer to Terrace Shores, if hired.

We have invited Kyle and his family to be on site for a candidating weekend on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29.  The events of that weekend are as follows:

Saturday, June 28 6:30-8:30 pm – There will be a meeting at Terrace Shores for congregation members to meet Kyle and Megan.  This will include a formal time of questions and answers in the sanctuary with Kyle.  This will start at 6:30 and will be the opportunity for congregation members to ask any questions they may have of Kyle.  That formal time of questions and answers will be followed by a more casual time of mingling and getting to know Kyle and Megan.  Desserts and drinks will be provided during this time.  If you are able to bring a dessert to share, please coordinate that through Jodi Jingst at – jjingst@hotmail.com

Sunday, June 29 – 8:00 and 10:00 am – Kyle will preach at both services that morning.

Sunday, June 29 – 11:30 am – Special Congregational Meeting. This congregational meeting will be solely for the purpose of voting to approve Kyle to be our new Senior Pastor.  We are encouraging everyone to have any questions about Kyle answered during the Saturday evening session.  This will allow us to have a relatively short congregational meeting which will consist of sharing information about the offer provided to Kyle and then conducting the actual vote.  All congregation members are invited to participate in this meeting, but only church members are eligible to vote.

We are very excited to be at this point in the process.  We encourage everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to meet Kyle and Megan on Saturday evening, and members especially to participate in the congregational meeting on Sunday.
