Features

The Turning Point on the corner of Route 73 and County K provides a large open room, a kitchen, a bar, and activities such as pool, carpetball, foosball, ping pong, air hockey, pinball, and table games.  This great building is used for a wide array of church activities and is available for personal gatherings for a reasonable fee (see “reservations” below). Contact the church office for more details

History

The building had housed many different restaurants/bars over the years until, in early 2001, an establishment for nude dancing was opened on the site. This caused quite a stir and generated a fair amount of opposition throughout the county, all to no avail.  Terrace Shores bought the strip club about a year later and converted it into a youth and community center.

The Name

We call it “The Turning Point” not only because it is on an intersection, but because of Isaiah 45:22– “Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.” Our desire is that this building honor the Lord through providing a safe and positive atmosphere to enjoy clean fun and friendship with others.
