Terrace Shores

The current property was owned by Margaret Dodge who was a member at the Pleasant Valley Community Church on the northwest side of the lake. She offered to donate property in the present location, if her church family would be willing to move to that spot. They were willing, and the original building was started in 1962. The first service in the building was on Easter Sunday of 1963. The basement and the upper-level were both expanded in 1989 and two offices and the library were added in 2004.

We’re Located on the shores of beautiful Green Lake next to the Green Lake County Park at W3278 Cty Rd K, Markesan, WI 53946.

Turning Point

Previously a variety of restaurants, bars, and even most recently a strip club, in 2002 Terrace Shores bought the property and performed a thorough renovation, converting it into a youth and community center. We call it “The Turning Point” not only because it is on an intersection, but because of Isaiah 45:22– “Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.” Our desire is that this building honor the Lord through providing a safe and positive atmosphere to enjoy clean fun and friendship with others.

The Turning Point is on the corner of Route 73 & County K and provides a large open room, a kitchen, a bar, and activities such as pool, carpetball, foosball, ping pong, air hockey, pinball, and table games. This great building is used for a wide array of church activities (such as junior high and high school youth groups) and is available for personal gatherings for a reasonable fee.

River Shores

In 2007, the worship music pastor at Terrace Shores (Casey Getz, son-in-law of Pastor Gary) approached the leadership at Terrace Shores about the possibility of planting a church together in Berlin. That same week the President of the School Board in Berlin (Mark Finger) also approached Terrace Shores about that same topic.  Everyone saw it as a sign from God and in 2009, the church opened as a second campus in Berlin.

River Shores is conveniently located off Hwy 49 as you enter Berlin, at 253 S. Church St., Berlin, WI 54923 (Click here for map).

If you have any other questions, or are in the Berlin area and would love to get involved with a great church, visit River Shores website.
